Scotland's Highlands and North Coast

It wasn't much further to our destination for the night, a tavern in the village of Mey, that was listed in our Britstop book. Before we checked in, we stopped to have a look at the Castle of Mey which was the holiday home of the late Queen Mother. The Queen Mother fell in love with this castle while visiting friends and in August 1952 it became the only property she ever personally owned.
